Pepline Privacy Policy

Short version: Pepline works without an account. Your log stays on your phone. If you turn on cloud backup, it is stored on our own server so you can restore it. We never sell data and never show ads.

What stays on your phone

Protocols, dose logs, vials, injection sites, journal entries (weight, side effects, notes) and settings are stored in the app's private storage. Android Auto Backup may copy this to your own Google account backup.

What leaves your phone — only if you choose

• Cloud backup (Pro, optional sign-in): the same data above, plus your Google account email, is stored in our database (MongoDB Atlas) behind our API, encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Only your account can read it.
• Purchases: handled by Stripe (BufferSol Technologies is the merchant). Google Pay / card details go directly to Stripe; we only receive your subscription status. If our app uses Google Play Billing in your country, Google handles payment.
• Crash reports (Sentry) and usage counts (PostHog): technical diagnostics and events such as "dose logged" or "paywall viewed". They never include dose amounts, compound names, notes, weight or side effects. You can turn usage counts off in Settings.

Processors

Stripe (payments), MongoDB Atlas (backup database), Cloudflare (API hosting), Sentry (crashes), PostHog (usage counts), Google (sign-in, Google Pay, Android backup).

Retention and deletion

Cloud data is kept while your account exists. Delete it any time in Settings → Account → Delete account, or request deletion at https://pepline.app/delete-account. Deletion removes your cloud data and account within minutes and cancels your subscription. Recently deleted logs on your phone are kept 30 days so you can restore mistakes.

Your rights

UK GDPR, PIPEDA (Canada) and US state laws (e.g. CCPA) give you rights to access, correct, delete and port your data. Email support@pepline.app.
